Dr. Mona Tsoukleris is an associate professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice & Science (PPS) at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy.
Mona Tsoukleris is an associate professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice & Science (PPS) at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. She is a faculty fellow in the Center for Innovative Pharmacy Solutions, having previously served as team leader of the CIPS Knowledge Enterprise. Trained at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, she received her PharmD in 1987 and completed an ASHP-accredited pharmacotherapy residency in adult internal medicine at the University of Missouri – Kansas City and Truman Medical Center. She is currently pursuing her PhD in epidemiology.
Dr. Tsoukleris has served as pharmacotherapy specialist in both community and academic hospital settings. Her most recent practice has been in ambulatory care settings, including pharmacy-managed anticoagulation and adult as well as pediatric asthma and allergy practices. She develops and delivers innovative educational programs to improve asthma management skills in health care professionals. She serves on the executive committee of the Maryland Asthma Control Program (Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene) and on the medical advisory committees of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America – Maryland/Greater Washington DC area and the University of Maryland Breathmobile.
