Dr. Kathleen Pincus is an assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science (PPS) at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy.

Kathleen Pincus, PharmD, BCPS, is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist and an assistant professor in the department of pharmacy practice and sciences at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. An alumna of the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy (’09), Dr. Pincus completed her pharmacy practice residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and her pharmacotherapy specialty residency at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. Dr. Pincus practices as an embedded clinical pharmacist at the University of Maryland Family and Community Medicine practice, a NCQA designated level 3 patient-centered medical home. Her research interests are in chronic disease state management and defining the role of the pharmacist in the patient centered medical home.

 Research Interests:

Dr. Pincus has published several articles reviewing the evidence for use of prophylactic anticoagulants in special populations. Her research interests include the patient-centered medical home, transitions of care, ambulatory care pharmacy practice models and chronic disease state management, including: asthma, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.
