Joseph Yang

Joseph is a PharmD Candidate ’21 at the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy. He graduated from SUNY – University at Buffalo with B.S. in Pharmacology and Toxicology. Joseph has been working with Dr. Slejko to support a grant proposal that aims to optimize Multiple Myeloma treatment and improve population health outcomes.

Prior to joining Team Slejko, Joseph has been involved with a research project that evaluate the U.S. value assessment organizations’ requirements and use of real-world-evidence and patient input in value and health technology assessment reports. In addition, he has worked for a non-profit organization, Pharmacy Quality Alliance, to characterize community pharmacist potential contribution to clinician performance measurement scores.

As a pharmacy student, Joseph has been very active in student organizations, such as Rho Chi and AMCP. His career interest lies within Health Economics and Outcomes Research, Market Access, and Health Policy.
