Gudelsky__cropped_editedLocated in downtown Baltimore, the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) was one of the nation’s first academic medical centers. Today it provides a diverse array of health care services to patients throughout Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic region.

Dr. Reed provides clinical pharmacy services for the Advanced Heart Failure Service (AHFS) at UMMC, which is comprised of hospitalized patients with complex structural heart disease, including advanced heart failure and pulmonary hypertension as well as recipients of mechanical circulatory support devices and orthotopic heart transplants. He also practices in an interdisciplinary heart transplant clinic, where he works alongside cardiologists, nurse practitioners, and transplant coordinators to provide care for heart transplant recipients.

Both sites also provide learning opportunities for students enrolled at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and for University of Maryland pharmacy residents.
